How We Choose Our Therapists
1. Therapist Qualifications
Every TYHO therapist holds at least a Master’s degree in a relevant field (eg clinical psychology, counselling psychology, psychotherapy, professional counselling or clinical social work) and has an average of around five years of clinical experience.Â
2. Our Selection Process
We are uncompromising on quality. This means that only 1 in 10 applicants meet our standards and join our team of Therapists.
Each applicant goes through the following steps:
- Application and credentials: We review each professional's qualifications, experience, certifications and areas of expertise.
- Accreditation: We request supporting documentation to verify the applicant's registration or membership with the relevant professional body.
- Clinical interview: An experienced clinical psychologist on our team assesses each applicant's clinical skills, soft skills, ethics and judgement.
- Alignment with TYHO's Values: We assess applicants to ensure they embody TYHO's values such as empathy, professionalism, a non-judgemental approach and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds and viewpoints.
- Onboarding: New Therapists complete our onboarding on TYHO's clinical, safety and confidentiality standards before opening their slots for talk therapy sessions.

A Breadth of Experience
Our Therapists work with a range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, stress, depression, relationship difficulties and grief. Each Therapist’s profile outlines their areas of focus, clinical experience and therapeutic approaches to help you understand the concerns they can support you with.
Working Within the Scope of Practice
Our Therapists work within the limits of their qualifications, training and clinical experience. When a client’s needs fall outside their scope of practice, they recognise when additional support may be needed and can recommend referrals to other professionals or services where appropriate.
Maintaining Our Standards of Care
1. Ethics and Confidentiality
Every TYHO Therapist has a professional and ethical obligation to maintain strict confidentiality. What you share in sessions stays between you and your Therapist, except where disclosure is required by law (for example, where there may be a risk of harm to yourself or others). If you are in crisis, please see our crisis resources.
2. Ongoing Therapist Support
At TYHO, our team conducts regular check-ins with Therapists to discuss client feedback, identify areas for improvement and provide guidance. These conversations also give Therapists an opportunity to share feedback about their experience at TYHO and the support they need.
Our expert panel
Our expert panel brings a wealth of knowledge and advises us on the best practices in therapy and employee wellbeing. Their expertise helps us uphold our mission of empowering people to live their best possible lives. Read more about TYHO.
3. Client Feedback and Concerns
If you have a concern about your experience, talk to our team at [email protected] or reach out via WhatsApp.
Our Operations Team actively reviews every piece of client feedback to address any concerns and ensure we’re delivering a consistently high standard of care.
If a concern is raised, we look into it promptly and work with the client to find the best way forward. Where appropriate, we also share feedback with Therapists to support their ongoing professional development.
Through our close engagement with clients and Therapists, we are committed to providing a high-quality therapy experience for everyone.
