Selection Process
- We will look for submissions demonstrating excellence in creativity, insightfulness, writing quality, research quality, and originality.
- TYHO will choose two winners and award them US$500 each.

Terms of Agreement
By submitting an essay to TYHO, applicants agree to comply with the following terms and conditions.
Eligibility
The competition welcomes global entries from students aged 16 and above enrolled in accredited post-secondary institutions. Applicants under 18 are required to have written consent from a parent or legal guardian.
Participants must also disclose their educational institution during the application, as TYHO will authenticate these details with the respective institutions.
Language
Submissions must be in English. Entries in other languages are accepted only if accompanied by an English translation.
Originality
Applicants certify that their submissions are original and hold copyright to all contents, including text, images, multimedia, and illustrations. Furthermore, the candidate assumes all responsibility for any legal repercussions of plagiarism.
Rights to Use
By submitting their work, each applicant affirms that their submission is an original work of their authorship. Additionally, the applicant agrees that TYHO will have an ongoing, non-exclusive, worldwide right and license to use the essay submission however they deem fit.
General
TYHO is not liable for late, lost, misdirected, or damaged entries, nor for any technological failures or data processing errors. TYHO is also not accountable for losses, damages, or other events outside their control, including typographical errors in printed materials.
TYHO will award the prize as stated in the selection process and bears no responsibility for its usage by the recipient.
TYHO reserves the right to withhold prizes and disqualify entries for any reason, including but not limited to the submission of inappropriate, obscene, offensive content, use of unauthorized third-party materials, or entries that have been previously published or entered in other competitions.
Summary of Conditions
- Open to current full-time students only.
- Students must be in good academic standing at an accredited college or university.
- The selected winners will be notified via email at the address they submitted during the entry process.
- If the recipient does not contact TYHO within two weeks of being notified of the results, TYHO reserves the right to choose another participant or not award the scholarship at its discretion.
- All personal information submitted in the application email will be verified before the announcement of the results.
- The student will be automatically disqualified if any false or misleading information is submitted.
- An applicant is only allowed to submit one entry.
- Two winners will each receive a one-time US$500 cash award via wire transfer to their nominated bank account within two weeks of being notified of the results.
